Our approach

Our methodical process includes four distinct stages.

1

Client needs
assessment

2

Recruitment
strategy

3

Candidate
selection and
placement

4

Ongoing
partnership

Stage one: Client needs assessment

Each client has different circumstances and workforce requirements that may require a variety of candidates, skill levels, labour mobility programs and visa schemes.

Initially, we will work closely with you to understand your specific circumstances, your immediate workforce needs, and your long-term aspirations and timelines. From there, we conduct a strategic planning process and provide you with a clear strategy for the future.

Stage two: Recruitment strategy

Once you approve a recruitment strategy proposed by Health+ People, we will lodge relevant plans for approval with Australian Government agencies to access overseas labour through the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme (for low- and semi-skilled, long-term workers), our On-Hire Labour Agreement (for highly-skilled nurses and carers) and/or other overseas or local labour streams.

We will provide you with regular updates throughout this process, ensuring that you are aware of all regulations, policies and steps required by the Australian Government. If, at any time, you need reassurance or additional information, our team will be ready to assist.

Stage three: Candidate selection and placement

Our team will conduct a careful in-country selection, screening and matching of candidates with clients’ specific requirements and needs. As a PALM employer, Health+ People will also manage the visa and sponsorship process through our in-house migration team.

We will coordinate candidates’ relocation to and settlement in Australia, including rental agreements, health insurance, banking and house furnishings. As we directly employ care staff on a full-time basis, we will also be solely responsible for the payment of all applicable wages, superannuation, payroll and PAYG tax, as well as all other payroll benefits and entitlements.

Stage four: Ongoing partnership

Our client interactions are not one-off transactions, but moments in a lifelong recruitment partnership that continues long after a worker is placed in your business.

We will continue to work with you and the workers we place to ensure your expectations are met and that your business adheres to workplace health and safety obligations, provides workers with opportunities for additional training and promotions, and remains compliant with visa and sponsorship conditions. We aim to build a partnership where we are so attuned to your business that we can put forward innovative, value-adding ideas for your consideration.
